Employee and team engagement and productivity is very strained. Turnover continues to be at all time high’s. What continues to baffle me however are those who feel the status quo is still acceptable. Successful leadership requires people who make others feel, and more importantly feel strong, feel empowered, feel passionate about what they are doing. The leaders who work side-by-side, not just in the traditional hierarchical fashion. Leaders who engage with empathy, use the word ‘we’ more than ‘I’, listen as much or more than they talk. they have taken the time to get a sense of the true benefits, the true opportunities in engaging our diverse voices. Trust requires ability, integrity, and confidence, not bravado, but confidence. And it is a 2 way street. Learn from each other, own our mistakes and grow from them. Don’t be afraid of things that are different than what is familiar to us, get curious, ask questions. Embrace and encourage change. The results will thrill you! “There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow men. True nobility lies in being superior to your former self.” ~Ernest HemingwayEngagement effectiveness and happiness continue to be a challenge. Employee turnover continues to be at all time highs.Turnover continues to be I don’t know all time high.
